How it started
On December 12, 2021, during a braai in Tiel, friends Wessel, Lex, and Damian conceived the idea for Kwagga Rugby. (Actual photo from the day.)
First Kwagga Braai & Training
On 30 April 2022, Kwagga Rugby convened for its inaugural training session. Following 30 minutes of rigorous training, we fired up the braai and delved into strategic discussions that stretched late into the night.
Our First Tournament - Amsterdam 7's 2022
With just one team, one coach, and a hydration specialist, we committed ourselves fully, both on and off the field. Though our results may not have been the finest, this marked the humble beginning of something far greater than we dared to imagine.
Today
Kwagga Rugby has grown to more than 100 players & many more fans.
